Who’s ready to whip up something savory, cheesy, and downright delicious? Today, I am beyond excited to share one of my absolute favorite recipes with you—Cheesy Spinach Puffs!
These golden brown, flaky puff pastry appetizers are the perfect finger food for any occasion. Whether it’s a family gathering, a tea party, or simply a tasty snack for a movie night, these spinach puffs are sure to impress.

Plus, they’re super easy to make with simple ingredients you can find at your local grocery store.

On a side note, I have to be careful with these. I start eating them right off the baking sheet, and before I know it, I’ve gone a little bit overboard. Save some for the guests, Dana! Ha!

Actually, did you know that these are actually from the Disney movie The Emperor’s New Groove? Apparently, they are Kronk’s spinach puffs! Who knew, right? I thought it was pretty awesome since Kronk is one of my favorites…

Anyway, whether you’re looking for a quick snack or a side dish, these little delights will hit the spot. I love how crispy and cheesy they are at the same time. Just a fair warning, they are REALLY tasty. You might need a double batch!

Ingredients:

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg, beaten
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare Filling:
In a bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, chopped spinach, and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Assemble Puffs:
Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry into 9 equal squares.
Place a spoonful of the spinach and cream cheese mixture in the center of each square.
Fold the corners of each square towards the center, pinching the edges to seal and form a puff.
Bake:
Place the puffs on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a nice golden color.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up.
Serve:
Allow the puffs to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm or at room temperature!
