  • 3 3 stalks celery, sliced

  • 2 cloves 2 garlic, minced

  • 6 cups 6 (1.4 liters) chicken broth

  • 1 teaspoon 1 dried thyme

  • 1 teaspoon 1 dried rosemary

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 8 ounces 8 (227g) wide egg noodles

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 (120ml) heavy cream (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
