Ingredients
  

For the Burgers
  • 1 pound ground beef Choose a fatty blend for flavor.
  • 2 slices American cheese Use good quality cheese that melts well.
For the Lettuce Wraps
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce Choose big leaves to form the wraps.
For the Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise Creamy base for the sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon mustard Adds a zesty flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pickles For tanginess.
Toppings
  • 1 medium tomato Sliced.
  • 1 small onion Optional; can soak in ice water for milder flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Shape the ground beef into thin patties and season well.
  3. Cook the patties on the skillet until juices pool, then add cheese on top.
  4. While cooking, prepare the iceberg lettuce by removing the largest leaves.
  5. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, mustard, and chopped pickles to create the sauce.
Assembly
  1. Spread sauce on both sides of the lettuce leaves.
  2. Place a cheesy patty on top, followed by tomato slices and onion (if using).
  3. Wrap the lettuce around the fillings and enjoy!

Notes

Dry the lettuce well to prevent sogginess. Double-layer the lettuce wraps for better support.
