Ingredients
  

For the Kebabs
  • 2 pounds beef sirloin, cut into 1.5-inch cubes Tender cut suitable for skewering.
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks Any color can be used.
  • 1 red onion, sliced into petals
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Metal or soaked wooden skewers Soak wooden skewers for at least 30 minutes.
Marinade
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adjust based on personal taste.
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Provides saltiness.
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar Optional for sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Optional, for extra flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, crushed
  • 1 splash Worcestershire sauce Optional, for additional flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Mix all marinade ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Toss beef cubes in marinade. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and oil the grates.
  2. Thread the marinated beef, bell pepper, and red onion onto the skewers, alternating as you go.
  3. Grill the kebabs for 8 to 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they reach desired doneness.
  4. Let the kebabs rest for a few minutes before serving. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and add a squeeze of lemon.

Notes

Do not reuse marinade without boiling it first. Soak wooden skewers before use to prevent burning. Can be served with flatbreads, grilled veggies, or fresh salads.
