Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Don’t use the weird whipped tubs.
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise Real stuff, not salad dressing.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Full-fat is best.
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped small
  • 1 cup crab meat Refrigerated kind if possible, lump or backfin.
  • 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed super dry Fresh spinach can be used if preferred.
  • 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan For flavor punch.
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 each juice from lemon Optional, but adds zing.
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Let the cream cheese reach room temperature to avoid lumps.
  2. Mix the cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Stir in minced garlic, mozzarella, parmesan, spinach, and lemon juice.
  4. Add the shrimp and crab meat, mixing well to incorporate.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Transfer mixture to a baking dish.
Baking
  1. Bake at 350 F for about 25 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
  2. Enjoy warm with your choice of dippers.

Notes

This dip can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge until baking. It can also be reheated in the oven or microwave, best with a sprinkle of extra cheese on top.
