  • 1 cup caramel sauce plus more for serving
  • 1 stick butter, melted

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. Spread the apple pie filling evenly in the baking dish. Chop large apple slices if necessary.
  3. Drizzle caramel sauce over the apples generously.
Assembly
  1. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top of the apples without mixing.
  2. Slowly pour the melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring even coverage.
Baking
  1. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until the top is browned and bubbling at the edges.
  2. Let cool for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can use canned sliced apples with sugar and cinnamon if you don’t have apple pie filling. This cake pairs wonderfully with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or a drizzle of extra caramel sauce.
