Biscuit Ingredients
  • 2 cups baking mix like Bisquick Make sure it's fresh.
  • 1 2/3 cups sour cream Full fat works best.
  • 1/2 cup 7 Up (or another lemon lime soda) Sprite can also be used.
  • 1/4 cup melted butter For the pan and brushing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  2. Pour most of the melted butter into your baking dish (9x9 or round cake pan).
  3. In a bowl, mix the baking mix and sour cream until shaggy.
  4. Pour in the 7 Up and stir until just combined.
  5. Lightly dust a clean surface with baking mix and gently pat the dough to about 1 inch thick.
  6. Cut into biscuits using a drinking glass or biscuit cutter.
  7. Set them into the buttery pan, allowing them to touch.
  8. Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes until golden on top.
  9. Brush more melted butter on top after baking.

Notes

When freezing, you can freeze baked or unbaked biscuits. To freeze baked, let them cool completely and store in a freezer bag. To freeze unbaked, cut them, freeze until solid, then transfer to a freezer bag and bake from frozen, adding a few minutes to the bake time.
