Ingredients

For the Cold Foam
  • 1 cup cold heavy cream This gives the foam body.
  • 1/2 cup milk 2 percent or whole milk preferred.
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract Vanilla bean paste can be used for a richer flavor.
  • 2 tbsp sweetener (simple syrup, sugar, honey, or maple syrup) Adjust based on personal preference.
Substitution Ideas
  • Lower sugar options: use less syrup or try sugar-free vanilla syrup.
  • Dairy-free: barista style oat cream or coconut cream blended with oat milk.
  • If no milk, use all heavy cream but froth for less time.

Method

Preparation
  1. Add cold heavy cream, milk, vanilla, and sweetener to a cup or jar.
  2. Froth for about 15 to 30 seconds until thickened and fluffy, but still pourable.
  3. Spoon or pour it over iced coffee right away.
  4. If using a blender, pulse a few times ensuring it does not turn into whipped cream.

Notes

Keep everything cold for best results. Do not over-froth; stop when it looks like melted ice cream. Taste before serving to ensure balance of vanilla and sweetness.
