  • a tiny splash vanilla (optional) For extra flavor.
  • 1 spoon strawberry jam (optional) For extra flavor.

Method

Make the Strawberry Layer
  1. Add strawberries and sweetener to a blender. Blend until smooth or slightly chunky. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
  2. Alternatively, mash strawberries with a fork and stir in sugar for a rustic mixture.
Cook the Boba
  1. Cook tapioca pearls according to package directions, usually about 5 minutes boiling and a few additional minutes to sit.
  2. Stir the boba while cooking to prevent clumping. Once done, drain and rinse with warm water. Toss with honey or brown sugar to keep them glossy.
Assemble Your Drink
  1. In a tall glass, add boba, then spoon in strawberry puree, followed by ice.
  2. Pour cooled tea over the ice, then add milk slowly for a layered effect.
  3. Stir before sipping to mix the flavors. Adjust sweetness if necessary.

Notes

Use quick cook boba for ease. Best consumed within a few hours for the perfect texture. Sweeten layers for balanced flavor. Mix and match dairy/non-dairy milks as desired.
