Ingredients
  

For the crust
  • 1 pie 9 inch pie crust Can use store bought or homemade graham cracker crust
For the filling
  • 1 cup boiling water To dissolve the Jello
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 package strawberry jello Follow package directions for mixing
  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries Wash and dry well before slicing

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash strawberries thoroughly and dry them well. Slice and set aside.
  2. Mix the strawberry jello with boiling water according to package directions and let it cool down slightly.
  3. Arrange a layer of sliced strawberries at the bottom of the pie crust for presentation.
  4. Pour the cooled jello mixture over the strawberries in the crust.
  5. Add more sliced strawberries on top if desired.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight for best results.

Notes

For a sweeter flavor, sprinkle strawberries with a little sugar before assembling. Keep leftovers covered in the fridge and consume within 2-3 days to maintain crust texture.
