Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare your 9x13 inch baking pan by greasing it lightly.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, oil, and water or milk.
- Fold in the chopped strawberries gently until well distributed.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
Cream Topping
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the whipped topping, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Once the cake is completely cooled, spread the cream topping evenly over the cake.
- Chill the cake in the refrigerator to set the topping before slicing.
Notes
This cake tastes even better when chilled and can also be made using strawberry cake mix for a bolder flavor. For cupcakes, use the same batter and bake in cupcake liners for 16-20 minutes.
