Preparation
- Slice an onion and lay it in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Pat the pork dry with paper towels. Rub it all over with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and chili powder (if using).
- Mix BBQ sauce with a splash of apple cider vinegar and a little water or broth. Pour some over the onions and place the pork on top. Pour the rest over the pork.
Cooking
- Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 5 to 6 hours.
- Once done, take the pork out and shred it with two forks. Stir the shredded pork back into the sauce, let it sit for 10 minutes.
Assembly
- Toast your buns if you have time. Add pulled pork, then toppings like pickles or slaw, and a little extra BBQ sauce.
Notes
Make ahead of time and store in the refrigerator. Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders are great for leftovers, and can be frozen in portions with a bit of sauce.
