Ingredients
  

For the sauce
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces You can use salted butter, but adjust salt to taste.
  • 6 to 8 cloves garlic, finely minced or grated Fresh garlic is preferred.
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning Start with 1 tablespoon and add more to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Optional, for color and warmth.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice Add more to taste.
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Helps keep the sauce silky.
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey or sugar Optional, to balance heat.
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Warm a small saucepan over low heat. Add olive oil and butter. Let the butter melt gently.
  2. Add the minced garlic and stir for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Whisk in Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and a small pinch of black pepper. Let it simmer for another minute on low.
  4. Stir in lemon juice and honey (if desired). Taste and adjust salt and heat with more Cajun seasoning if necessary.
  5. Finish with chopped parsley. Keep warm over low heat or transfer to a bowl for dipping.

Notes

Store leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat gently on low.
