  • 4 cups cold water
  • 2-4 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup plain kombucha or plain kefir (choose one) Use kombucha for a crisp drink or kefir for a creamy texture.
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances flavor
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger Optional for additional flavor
  • few mint leaves For a refreshing touch
  • few frozen berries For added flavor and visual appeal
  • Ice For serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a pitcher, stir together the lemon juice, cold water, honey or maple syrup, and pinch of salt.
  2. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness to your liking.
  3. Before serving, gently stir in your choice of kombucha or kefir.
  4. Fill glasses with ice, pour the lemonade, and garnish with mint or berries if desired.

Notes

Store the lemonade base (without kombucha or kefir) in the fridge for up to 3 days. Add the probiotic part right before serving to maintain flavor and texture. For added prebiotic benefits, consider whisking in a small amount of inulin or adding chia seeds.
