Pineapple Rum Punch

Ingredients
  

Juices and Mixers
  • 2 cups pineapple juice Use chilled juice, canned or bottled. If fresh, strain if super pulpy.
  • 1 cup orange juice Adds mellow sweetness.
  • 1/3 cup fresh lime juice About 2 to 3 limes.
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons grenadine Optional, mostly for color and sweetness.
  • 2 cups club soda or lemon lime soda Added at the end for fizz.
Alcohol
  • 1 cup light rum Can also use dark rum.
  • 1/2 cup dark rum Optional but tasty.
Extras
  • as needed ice A lot of it, punch should be cold.
  • as desired garnishes (pineapple wedges, lime wheels, maraschino cherries, mint) For decorative purposes.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Chill your juices and rum if you can.
  2. In a pitcher, add pineapple juice, orange juice, and lime juice.
  3. Pour in the rum and stir well.
  4. Taste it. Adjust sweetness with grenadine or brightness with more lime.
  5. Add a big handful of ice to the pitcher.
  6. Right before serving, stir in the soda for fizz.
  7. Pour into glasses with extra ice and garnish as desired.

Notes

For a lighter punch, use only light rum and sparkling water. For a sweeter version, add lemon lime soda and extra grenadine. If you're serving a crowd, keep some rum on the side for guests to customize their drinks.
