Main Ingredients
  • 1 medium pineapple, peeled and chopped Choose a ripe and fragrant pineapple.
  • 4 cups cold water Less water can be added initially and adjusted to taste.
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves Adjust the amount based on preference for mint flavor.
  • 1 lime lime juice Add to taste for sweetness balance.
  • 1-2 teaspoons honey or sugar Optional, adjust based on the tartness of pineapple.

Preparation
  1. Blend pineapple with cold water until smooth.
  2. Add mint and blend briefly to keep it fresh tasting.
  3. Strain if you want it super smooth, or skip straining if you like a little texture.
  4. Taste and adjust with lime juice and sweetener if needed.
  5. Chill, pour over ice, and enjoy.

Notes

Agua fresca can be made with other fruits such as mango, watermelon, or peaches. If using frozen fruit, let it thaw a bit or blend with extra water. Store in the fridge for up to 2 days.
