Base Ingredients
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened Full fat is best for texture
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar or a cheddar blend
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder Or a tiny bit of fresh garlic if you love it
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika Regular paprika can also be used
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Black pepper
  • 1 cup Pepper jelly Mild or hot, your call
Optional Toppings
  • 1 cup Sliced green onions For freshness
  • 1/2 cup Chopped pecans For crunch
  • 1/2 cup Crispy bacon bits For salty drama

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat your oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a small baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese with shredded cheese, garlic powder, paprika, and a pinch of pepper until well combined.
  3. Spread the cheese mixture into the baking dish.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until hot and a little bubbly around the edges.
  2. Warm the pepper jelly for about 10 to 20 seconds in the microwave, then spoon it over the top.
  3. Add any optional toppings if using.
Serving
  1. Serve right away with crackers, chips, or toasted bread.

Notes

The dip can be made ahead of time by mixing the base and storing it in the fridge. Serve warm with freshly topped jelly for best results. Can be reheated in the oven or microwave.
