Main Ingredients
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 10 pieces Peeps (chicks or bunnies, any color)
  • 2 tablespoons butter Can use salted butter instead.
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows Optional for better texture.
  • 1 pinch salt Optional, helps cut sweetness.
  • to taste Sprinkles or sanding sugar Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Grab a 9x13 pan and lightly butter it or line it with parchment.
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter on low heat.
  3. Add the Peeps and stir slowly until smooth.
  4. Add mini marshmallows and salt if using, then turn off the heat.
  5. Quickly stir in the Rice Krispies until coated.
  6. Press the mixture into the prepared pan, using buttered hands or parchment.
  7. Add sprinkles on top and gently press them in. Let cool for 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Use parchment between layers to prevent sticking. Freezing is possible, but best consumed within a month.
