  • 1/2 banana mashed banana Plus extra slices for topping.
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons peanut butter Natural peanut butter works best.
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder Or 1 to 2 tablespoons chocolate chips.
  • a pinch salt Enhances flavor.
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey Optional for added sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds Optional for thicker oats.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Grab a jar or container with a lid.
  2. Add the oats, cocoa powder (if using), salt, and chia seeds (if using) and stir to combine.
  3. Add the milk, mashed banana, and peanut butter, and mix well.
  4. If using chocolate chips, stir some in now and save a few for the morning.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or overnight.
Serving
  1. In the morning, give it a stir and, if too thick, add a splash of milk.
  2. Top with banana slices, extra peanut butter, and a few chocolate chips.
  3. Enjoy straight from the jar.
