For the peach syrup
  • 2 cups sliced peaches Fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup water For simmering peaches
  • 2-4 tablespoons sugar or honey Optional, adjust based on peach sweetness
For the beverage
  • 4 cups brewed tea Black or green tea, cooled
  • 2 cups lemonade Store-bought or homemade
  • 1-1.5 cups peach mixture Including juice from the peach syrup
  • as needed cups ice For serving
  • as needed fresh lemon slices or mint Optional, for garnish

Method

Brew the Tea
  1. Brew about 4 cups of tea using 4 to 5 black tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Let it cool.
Make the Peach Syrup
  1. In a small pot, add 2 cups sliced peaches, 1 cup water, and 2 to 4 tablespoons of sugar. Bring to a gentle simmer for 8-10 minutes until peaches are soft. Mash them slightly and let cool.
Combine the Ingredients
  1. In a large pitcher, combine 2 cups cooled tea, 2 cups lemonade, and 1 to 1.5 cups of the peach mixture. Stir and adjust flavors as desired.
Serve the Drink
  1. Fill glasses with ice, pour the mixture, and add lemon slices or mint for garnish if desired.

Notes

You can scale this recipe easily for larger batches. To prevent dilution, keep extra ice out of the pitcher until serving, and consider freezing tea into ice cubes. For a sparkling version, replace some of the water or tea with cold sparkling water right before serving.
