  • 1 can 29 ounces sliced peaches in heavy syrup Use two smaller cans if a big can is unavailable.
  • 1 box yellow cake mix Store brand works fine.
  • 8 tablespoons butter, melted Melt for even distribution.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the can of peaches with syrup into a 9x13-inch pan and spread it out.
  3. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the peaches. Do not stir.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, covering it as evenly as possible.
  5. Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.

Notes

You can add cinnamon or nuts for extra flavor and texture. If the top isn't browning, place it under the broiler for a minute carefully. You can also swap peaches for other canned fruits like cherries or apple pie filling.
