Ingredients

For the crust
  • 24 cookies Oreo cookies (for the crust and for mixing into the filling)
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted To help the crust hold together
For the filling
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened Keeps it rich and slightly tangy
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar For sweetness without grit
  • 8 oz Whipped topping (like Cool Whip, thawed) For that fluffy texture
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract Optional but nice
  • 1 pinch Salt Optional, enhances flavor

Method

Preparation
  1. Crush Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and rolling with a pin.
  2. Mix the crushed Oreos with melted butter until it resembles wet sand.
  3. Press the mixture into a pie dish, covering the bottom and sides. Refrigerate while preparing the filling.
Filling
  1. In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add the powdered sugar and optional vanilla extract, mixing until no lumps remain.
  3. Fold in the whipped topping gently until smooth, avoiding overmixing.
  4. Stir in chopped Oreos, mixing in a variety of sizes for texture.
Assembly & Chilling
  1. Spoon the fluffy filling into the chilled crust and smooth the top.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Before serving, top with extra crushed Oreos and whole cookies if desired.

Notes

For best results, ensure cream cheese is softened sufficiently and chill the pie longer if possible. Use a sharp knife for slicing to keep the slices neat.
