  • 6 tablespoons Butter, melted
For the cream layer

  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 8-12 oz Whipped topping, divided You can adjust the amount according to your preference
For the pudding layer

  • As directed cups Cold milk Follow the pudding package instructions
For topping
  • Extra cookie crumbs, chocolate shavings, or chocolate syrup Optional toppings

Method

Preparation
  1. Crush the Oreo cookies. Place them in a zip bag and roll with a rolling pin or use a food processor. Save a small handful for topping.
  2. Mix most of the crushed cookies with melted butter and press into a 9×13 dish. Chill in the fridge while preparing the cream layer.
Cream Layer
  1. Beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in some of the whipped topping until well combined.
  2. Spread the cream layer evenly over the crust.
Pudding Layer
  1. Whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix with cold milk until it thickens. Let it sit for a minute to set.
  2. Spread the pudding layer over the cream layer.
Assembly
  1. Top with the remaining whipped topping and sprinkle reserved cookie crumbs on top.
  2. Chill the dessert for at least 4 hours, but overnight is better for clean slices.

Notes

For a lighter version, use light whipped topping and reduced fat cream cheese. If serving at a party, individual cups are a nice touch.
