  • 1 cup Powdered sugar Adjust to taste for sweetness.
  • 8 oz Whipped topping or homemade whipped cream Whip heavy cream with a little powdered sugar if making homemade.
  • 1/2 cup Peanut butter Optional, but recommended for extra peanut flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Chocolate syrup or melted chocolate for drizzling Optional for topping.

Method

Preparation
  1. Whisk the instant pudding mix with cold milk until thickened. Place it in the fridge to set up.
  2. In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth, then fold in the whipped topping gently.
  3. Crush the Nutter Butter cookies in a zip top bag using a rolling pin.
Layering
  1. In your dish, add a layer of crushed Nutter Butter cookies, then a layer of pudding, followed by the cream mixture. Repeat until all ingredients are used, finishing with the cream layer.
  2. Top with extra cookie pieces and drizzle with chocolate or warm peanut butter before serving.
Chilling
  1. Let the trifle chill in the fridge for at least an hour before serving for the best texture.

Notes

For best results, use softened cream cheese to avoid lumps and let the trifle chill before serving to enhance flavor and texture. You can add sliced bananas or mini chocolate chips for extra flavor.
