Method
Preparation of Crust
- Mix chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter until it resembles wet sand.
- Press the mixture firmly into a 9-inch pie dish, starting with the sides.
- Chill the crust while you make the filling.
Preparation of Filling
- Beat softened cream cheese until smooth in a mixing bowl.
- Add powdered sugar and beat until fluffy.
- Stir in vanilla and peanut butter until well combined.
- Fold in whipped topping gently, maintaining the light texture.
- Spread the filling into the chilled crust.
Swirling and Chilling
- Warm the hot fudge sauce until it is pourable.
- Spoon small pools of hot fudge over the filling and use a butter knife to create swirls.
- Chill the pie for at least 4 hours before slicing, preferably overnight.
Serving
- Optional: Drizzle additional fudge on top and sprinkle with chopped peanuts before serving.
Notes
For a cleaner slice, chill overnight. Piped whipped cream can be added as a border for presentation.
