Preparation
- Add mango, lemon juice, sugar or honey, salt, and 2 cups of water to your blender. Blend until smooth.
- Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sweetener if it is too sharp. If too thick, add more water.
- Add chili powder a tiny bit at a time, blending between additions, until desired heat level is reached.
- Fill a pitcher with ice and pour the mixture over it. Add remaining cold water to adjust the strength.
- Serve immediately. For a fancy touch, rub a lemon wedge around the rim of the glass and dip it in chili powder.
Notes
If mango is not ripe or flavorful, add a splash of orange juice or more sweetener to enhance the flavor. Can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days without ice or sparkling water.
