  • 1/4 cup Sugar For sweetness in the crust.
  • 1/2 cup Butter Melted, to hold the crust together.
Filling Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Lemon juice Freshly squeezed is best.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon zest For added lemon aroma.
  • 1 cup Whipped topping or whipped cream To lighten the filling.

Method

Preparation
  1. To make the crust, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl until it resembles wet sand.
  2. Press the mixture firmly into a pie dish using the bottom of a measuring cup to pack it in.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, and lemon zest until thickened.
  4. Fold in whipped topping or freshly whipped cream until smooth and fluffy.
  5. Pour the filling into the prepared crust, smooth the top, and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.

Notes

Press the crust firmly to avoid crumbling. Chill long enough for the filling to set properly. Optional: Top with extra whipped cream or lemon slices for presentation.
