For the Rolls
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough Choose a brand with reliable seams.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough triangles on a clean surface and let them sit for 3-4 minutes to relax.
Assembly
  1. Using about 1 tablespoon of the cheesecake filling, place it near the wide end of each crescent roll triangle.
  2. Roll the dough from the wide end towards the point, enclosing the filling and pinch the seams to seal.
  3. Place each rolled crescent on a lined baking sheet seam-side down.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Let them cool on a rack for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Serving
  1. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with fresh fruit or a berry sauce if desired.

Notes

Chill the filling for 10 minutes if your kitchen is warm. For variations, you can add strawberry or blueberry jam to the filling or skip the lemon for a plain version.
