Preparation
- Bring the water to a near boil, then turn off the heat.
- Add the Earl Grey tea and lavender. Cover the pot or mug to keep the aroma in.
- Steep for 4 to 5 minutes, or up to 6 minutes for a stronger brew.
- Remove the tea bags or strain out the leaves and lavender buds.
- If desired, sweeten while the tea is warm to ensure the sweetener dissolves.
- Let the tea cool to room temperature, then chill in the fridge.
- Serve the chilled tea over a full glass of ice. Add lemon slices if desired.
Notes
For variations, you can add milk for a Lavender London Fog, top with sparkling water, or play with additional flavors like chamomile or lemon peel. Store lavender in a sealed jar to keep it fragrant.
