  • 1 small handful cilantro, chopped (optional) Can be replaced with mint.
  • 1 small jalapeno, finely chopped (optional) For a gentle kick; adjust heat level to taste.

Preparation
  1. Peel the jicama, then cut it into thin sticks.
  2. Cut the mango into cubes, scoring the flesh or cutting around the pit to get it into the bowl.
  3. In the serving bowl, mix the lime juice, salt, and honey to create a dressing.
  4. Add cilantro and jalapeno if using, then toss everything together.
  5. Let the salad sit for about 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed, adding more salt, lime, or honey to preference.

Notes

For best results, serve cold and allow flavors to meld before serving. Use flaky salt for garnishing. This salad is great served alongside grilled meats or cold pasta salads.
