  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Optional, for deeper flavor.
Filling ingredients
  • 1 package Cream cheese Softened for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Jalapeños Can be fresh or pickled.
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped green onion Optional.
For serving
  • 4 buns Burger buns
  • 1 leaf Lettuce
  • 1 sliced Tomato

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, gently mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Avoid overworking the mixture.
  2. In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and chopped jalapeños. Let the cream cheese soften for smoother mixing.
Forming the patties
  1. Divide the turkey mixture into equal portions and flatten each into a thin patty.
  2. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each patty, fold the turkey around the filling, and seal the edges.
  3. Gently shape the patties between your palms and flatten slightly.
Cooking
  1. Heat a bit of oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook each burger for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Serving
  1. Let the burgers rest for a few minutes, then serve on buns with your chosen toppings.

Notes

For a lighter option, serve in lettuce wraps instead of buns. These burgers can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours before cooking.
