Ingredients
Method
Prepare the Cream Cheese Topping
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, finely chopped jalapeños, cooked bacon, sour cream or mayo, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more salt if needed or more cream cheese if too spicy.
Cook the Burger Patties
- Gently form the ground beef into 4 patties without overworking the meat.
- Season the outside of the patties with salt and pepper.
- Cook the patties in a hot pan or on a grill, adding the cheese slices near the end to melt.
- Rest the patties for a couple of minutes after cooking to keep them juicy.
Assemble the Burgers
- Toast the burger buns if desired.
- Layer the assembled burgers with the patty, cheese, and a generous spoonful of the cream cheese topping.
- Add extra jalapeños or bacon on top if desired.
Notes
Serve with crunchy sides like fries or coleslaw for a balanced meal. You can experiment with different meat types like turkey or chicken for variations.
