Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 fillets Salmon fillets, about 5 to 6 ounces each Skin on or off both work
  • 1 pound Green beans, trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Low sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced Or 1 to 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder in a pinch
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice Plus wedges for serving
  • 1-2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes, Dijon mustard, or sesame seeds For added flavor

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a sheet pan with foil or parchment.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice. If desired, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  3. On the sheet pan, toss the green beans with olive oil, salt, and pepper, spreading them out evenly.
Roasting
  1. Roast the green beans in the oven for about 8 minutes to give them a head start.
  2. Remove the pan, push the green beans to the sides, and place the salmon fillets in the center. Brush or spoon half of the honey garlic sauce over the salmon.
  3. Return the pan to the oven and roast for an additional 10 to 12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the salmon. Brush the remaining sauce on the salmon during the last few minutes of cooking.
  4. Let the dish rest for 2 minutes before serving. Add lemon wedges for extra flavor.

Notes

Be careful not to overcook the salmon, as it can dry out quickly. Check for doneness around the 9-minute mark after adding the salmon. If using frozen green beans, roast them a few minutes longer before adding the salmon.
