Ingredients
  

Chicken and Coating
  • 1 pound Chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces Thighs are juicier but breasts are easier to cube.
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch For a light coating (optional).
  • to taste Salt and black pepper For seasoning.
  • 2 tablespoons Oil For pan frying.
Honey Garlic Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Honey Provides sweetness.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Fresh is best, but jarred works.
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce Low sodium if preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar Balances sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons Water or chicken broth For thinning the sauce if needed.
  • to taste Red pepper flakes or sriracha Optional for heat.
Buttered Egg Noodles
  • 8 ounces Egg noodles Perfect for soaking up sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter For flavor.
  • to taste Salt For seasoning.
  • optional Parsley For garnish if available.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Boil the noodles first. Cook egg noodles in salted water until just tender.
  2. Pat the chicken dry, toss with salt, pepper, and cornstarch.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with oil. Sear the chicken in batches until golden brown.
  2. Lower heat, add garlic to the pan for about 30 seconds, then stir in honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and water/broth. Simmer until glossy.
  3. Toss cooked chicken in the sauce until well-coated.
Serving
  1. Serve chicken and sauce over buttered egg noodles with optional garnishes.

Notes

For extra veggies, consider adding steamed broccoli or sautéed green beans. Adjust sweetness or saltiness of the sauce as per taste.
