  • 1 pound peeled and deveined shrimp Tail on is optional
  • 2 tablespoons butter For rich flavor
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic Minced; fresh cloves are recommended
  • 2 tablespoons honey Adds sweetness and helps sauce cling
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Provides balance and depth

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the shrimp dry and lightly season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet on medium high and add butter. Once melted and foamy, add the shrimp in a single layer.
  2. Cook shrimp about 1 to 2 minutes per side until they turn pink and slightly golden, then remove to a plate.
  3. Turn the heat down to medium. Add minced garlic and stir for about 20 seconds, then pour in honey and soy sauce.
  4. Let the sauce bubble for a minute until it thickens slightly.
  5. Add the shrimp back into the skillet and toss for 30 to 60 seconds until coated.

Notes

Shrimp are best enjoyed right after cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. When reheating, do so gently to avoid overcooking.
