Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups whole milk Whole milk is best for that classic feel, but 2% works too.
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk Adds sweetness and creamy body.
  • 1/3 cup chocolate milk mix or cocoa plus sugar A mild chocolate flavor.
  • 1/2 cup whipped topping or heavy cream Optional, for extra fluffiness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Blend the milk, sweetened condensed milk, and chocolate flavor (chocolate syrup or cocoa plus sugar) until totally smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into a freezer safe container and freeze for about 45 to 60 minutes until it reaches a thick slushy texture around the edges.
  3. Scoop the mixture back into the blender. If desired, add whipped topping or a splash of cream and blend until creamy.
  4. Serve immediately for a spoonable texture. If too thick, add a tiny splash of milk and blend again.

Notes

Best served fresh, but can be stored for 1-2 weeks. Press plastic wrap on the surface to reduce icy crystals when storing. Re-blend with a splash of milk if too firm when serving.
