Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 8 pieces Hot dogs, any kind Regular, turkey, or plant-based.
  • 1 can Crescent roll dough Can substitute with puff pastry or pizza dough strips.
  • 1 large Egg Whisked with a splash of water for egg wash, optional.
  • as needed Candy eyes or mustard for eyes Dab of ketchup or mustard can be used as glue.
  • as needed Ketchup and mustard For dipping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the dough and cut it into thin strips, approximately the width of your pinky finger.
  3. Pat the hot dogs dry with a paper towel.
  4. Wrap each hot dog with the dough strips, leaving a small gap at the top for the face.
  5. Brush with egg wash if desired, then bake for 12 to 15 minutes until puffed and golden.
  6. Allow to cool for a few minutes, then add candy eyes or dots of mustard.

Notes

Make wraps look like bandages for a better effect. Chill dough for a few minutes before wrapping if strips slide around. Serve with a variety of dipping sauces for added fun.
