Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 to 1.5 cups Milk of choice (dairy, oat, almond, coconut) Choose based on preference for creaminess.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground turmeric The main star of the latte.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cinnamon For warmth and that golden milk vibe.
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ginger Ground or freshly grated.
  • a pinch Black pepper To enhance turmeric absorption; use a tiny amount.
  • 1 teaspoon Sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or date syrup) Start with this and adjust to taste.
  • splash Vanilla (optional) Makes it taste like a real treat.
  • 1 spoon Coconut cream (optional) For a richer drink.
  • a pinch Nutmeg (optional) To add extra coziness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Pour 1 to 1.5 cups of milk into a small pot.
  2. Warm it over medium-low heat until steaming, not boiling.
  3. Whisk in the ground turmeric, cinnamon, and ginger.
  4. Add a tiny pinch of black pepper.
  5. Sweeten to taste with honey or maple syrup, starting with 1 teaspoon.
  6. Turn off the heat and add a splash of vanilla if desired.
  7. Pour into a favorite mug. Adjust sweetness or spice as needed.

Notes

Whisk early and well to avoid clumping. Do not boil the milk to preserve flavor. Sweeten at the end for the best taste. Golden Turmeric Latte can stain surfaces, so handle with care.
