  • 5 tbsp Melted butter To bind the crumbs together.
  • 2 tbsp Sugar Adds sweetness to the crust.
  • 1 pinch Coarse salt For a margarita flavor.
For the filling
  • 2 cups Frozen strawberries Sweet and ripe fresh strawberries can be used if available.
  • 1 cup Sweetened condensed milk Provides sweetness and creamy texture.
  • 2 tbsp Lime zest Adds a punchy citrus flavor.
  • 3 tbsp Lime juice Freshly squeezed is best.
  • 1 cup Whipped topping or whipped cream For light, fluffy texture.
  • 2 tbsp Tequila Optional, adds flavor without strong alcohol taste.
  • 2 tbsp Orange liqueur Optional, for classic margarita taste.

Method

Preparation
  1. Mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and sugar. Add coarse salt for flavor. Press firmly into a pie dish and freeze while preparing the filling.
Filling
  1. Blend frozen strawberries until mostly smooth, leaving some tiny bits for texture.
  2. In a bowl, mix the strawberry puree, sweetened condensed milk, lime zest, and lime juice. If using, add tequila and orange liqueur. Gently fold in whipped topping until just combined.
Assembly & Freezing
  1. Pour the filling into the prepared crust and smooth the top. Cover well and freeze for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
Serving
  1. Let the pie sit at room temperature for 8 to 12 minutes before slicing for easier cuts. Wipe the knife between slices for clean edges.

Notes

Serve with extra lime zest, sliced strawberries, or crushed graham cracker on top. Use a sprinkle of salt on each slice for added flavor. Store leftovers tightly wrapped in the freezer for best texture and flavor within 1 to 2 weeks.
