Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or unsweetened oat milk) Both dairy and oat milk work well.
  • 3-4 tablespoons hot chocolate mix or cocoa powder Use cocoa plus sugar if not using hot chocolate mix.
  • 2-2.5 cups ice Essential for the thick texture.
  • optional chocolate syrup Recommended for an extra touch of sweetness.
  • optional whipped cream For topping; adds creaminess.
  • a pinch salt Enhances the chocolate flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Add 1 cup of milk to the blender.
  2. Add 3 to 4 tablespoons of hot chocolate mix (or 2 tablespoons of cocoa plus 1 to 2 tablespoons of sugar).
  3. Add a tiny pinch of salt.
  4. Add 2 to 2.5 cups of ice.
  5. Blend until smooth, then check the thickness. If too thin, add a small handful of ice and blend again.
Serving
