- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan, using parchment if desired.
- In a bowl, whisk the dry ingredients together to evenly distribute the baking powder and spices.
- In another bowl, whisk the wet ingredients together until smooth, then stir in the sugar.
- Combine the wet and dry mixtures, stirring just until no dry flour is visible. Avoid overmixing.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan, smooth the top, and bake for 50 to 60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Store wrapped tightly at room temperature for up to 3 days. It can also be refrigerated or frozen for longer storage. For an added treat, consider a simple glaze after the loaf cools.
