Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Pat the chicken wings very dry with paper towels.
- If time allows, let the wings sit uncovered in the fridge for 30 minutes to dry further.
- In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, smoked paprika, kosher salt, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Drizzle the oil over the dry wings and toss to ensure they are evenly coated.
- Add the spice blend to the wings and mix well to coat evenly.
Baking
- Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on a rack over a foil-lined baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through.
- If desired, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes at the end for extra crispiness.
Serving
- Let the wings rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
- Serve with crisp veggies, ranch or blue cheese dip, and enjoy!
Notes
These wings reheat well in a hot oven. Try adding different spices to customize the flavor to your liking.
