Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 stick Butter (melted) for richness and fudgy texture
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder for deep chocolate flavor
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar for sweetness and shiny brownie top
  • 12 oz Dr Pepper (regular, not diet) for flavor and moisture
  • 2 large Eggs for structure
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract for flavor enhancement
  • 1 cup All purpose flour to hold the brownie structure
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt to enhance chocolate flavor
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate chips optional but recommended for extra chocolate

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a small pot, melt the butter on low heat. Once melted, stir in cocoa powder and sugar until it looks glossy.
  3. Pour in the Dr Pepper and stir. It may fizz a little, this is normal.
  4. Take the pot off heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes to prevent scrambling the eggs.
  5. Whisk in the eggs and vanilla until the batter is smooth.
  6. Fold in the flour and salt until no dry streaks are visible. Do not overmix.
  7. If using chocolate chips, fold them in last.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25 to 32 minutes, depending on pan size.
  2. Let them cool before cutting for clean slices.

Notes

For variations, consider adding more chocolate or cherries, or a simple frosting on top. Always cool the brownies before cutting for the best texture.
