  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter Use salted butter and skip extra salt if preferred.
For the Chocolate Layer
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or melting chocolate Any melting chocolate works; adjust dark or milk chocolate as desired.
  • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt For sprinkling on top, optional.

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter and unsalted butter until smooth.
  2. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar and graham cracker crumbs until well incorporated.
  3. Press the peanut butter mixture into an even layer in a prepared square pan.
Chocolate Layer
  1. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  2. Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter base and spread evenly.
  3. Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top if desired.
Chill and Serve
  1. Refrigerate the bars for at least 1 to 2 hours until set.
  2. Once set, cut into squares and serve cold or at room temperature.
