Ingredients
  

Soda Base
  • 1 cup cold soda (cola, Dr Pepper, root beer, or lemon lime) Use very cold soda to prevent flatness.
Flavored Syrup and Citrus
  • 1-2 tablespoons flavored syrup (coconut, vanilla, strawberry, raspberry, caramel, peach) Start with less syrup and adjust to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice Squeeze from fresh lime, adjust based on personal preference.
Cream
  • 1-2 tablespoons cream (half and half, heavy cream, coconut cream, or coffee creamer) Add cream last for better presentation.
Ice
  • lots of cubes ice Fill the glass with ice to keep the soda fizzy.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Fill a tall glass all the way with ice.
  2. Pour in 1 to 2 tablespoons of flavored syrup.
  3. Squeeze in fresh lime juice.
  4. Slowly add soda until the glass is about 3 quarters full.
  5. Top with 1 to 2 tablespoons of cream or half and half.
  6. Give it a gentle stir to combine the ingredients.

Notes

Feel free to customize with different flavor combinations. When adding cream to an acidic soda, it may initially appear curdled, but it blends smoothly after stirring.
