Preparation
- Preheat your oven and prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package directions. Bake the cake.
- Let the cake cool for 10 to 15 minutes, then poke holes in it using the handle end of a wooden spoon.
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate syrup over the warm cake, allowing it to soak in.
- Chill the cake in the refrigerator until firm.
- Prepare the instant pudding according to package instructions using cold milk, then spread it on top of the cake.
- Spread whipped topping over the pudding, and decorate with chocolate chips and any additional toppings.
Notes
Best served chilled and can be made ahead of time. Keeps well in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.
