  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder Optional but adds flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter Helps keep the chicken moist.
  • 0.75 cup chicken broth Or water in a pinch. Essential to keep the cooker steamy.
  • 1 lemon squeeze Optional for added brightness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to help the seasoning stick.
  2. Mix salt, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and onion powder in a small bowl.
  3. Brush the chicken with olive oil or melted butter, then rub the seasoning all over the chicken.
  4. Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the slow cooker.
  5. Place the chicken in a single layer in the slow cooker.
Cooking
  1. Cook on LOW for about 2.5 to 3.5 hours, checking doneness around the 3-hour mark.
  2. Check the internal temperature with a thermometer; pull the chicken when the thickest part reaches 165°F.
Resting and Serving
  1. Let the chicken rest on a plate for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
  2. Slice and serve as desired.

Notes

For best results, choose chicken breasts of similar size, cook on LOW, and do not open the lid frequently during cooking. This chicken is versatile and can be used in salads, sandwiches, or wraps.
