Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 8 oz cream cheese Softer cream cheese is recommended for better mixing.
  • 1 pack chipped beef Chopped into small bits.
  • 3 scallions green onions Chopped.
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Adjust amount to taste.
Optional toppings
  • 1/4 cup chopped beef For rolling the cheese ball.
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley Chopped, for rolling the cheese ball.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese until soft.
  2. Chop the chipped beef into small pieces using kitchen scissors.
  3. Add the chopped beef, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, shredded cheddar, and garlic powder into the bowl.
  4. Use your hands to combine all the ingredients until well mixed.
  5. Shape the mixture into a ball and roll in extra chopped beef or parsley, if desired.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Serving
  1. Serve with crunchy pita chips, sliced celery or bell peppers, pretzel thins, or assorted whole grain crackers.
  2. For a creamier texture, let the cheese ball sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers wrapped in plastic or in a tight-lid container in the fridge for up to five days. Can be prepared a day in advance for the flavors to blend.
