  • 4 cups Cranberry juice cocktail, chilled Use less sweet cranberry juice if desired
  • 2 cups Orange juice, chilled Adjust sweetness to taste
  • 2 cups Lemon lime soda or ginger ale, chilled Add soda last to maintain fizz
  • 1 quart Orange sherbet, very firm Scoop large balls for slower melting
Optional Garnishes
  • Orange slices For garnish
  • Fresh cranberries For garnish
  • Mint For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Chill all ingredients beforehand to prevent the sherbet from melting too quickly.
  2. In a large punch bowl, combine the cranberry juice and orange juice.
  3. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness with additional orange juice or cranberry juice if needed.
  4. Just before serving, add the lemon lime soda or ginger ale.
  5. Scoop in the orange sherbet and serve immediately.
  6. Garnish with optional orange slices, fresh cranberries, or mint leaves as desired.

Notes

For a grown-up version, add a splash of vodka or sparkling wine to individual cups. This recipe can serve 10 to 14 people, and is perfect for holiday dinners, baby showers, or casual movie nights.
