Ingredients

For the sauce
  • 1 cup mayonnaise Regular, full-fat mayo gives the best texture.
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup Brings sweetness and tang; do not skip.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Use freshly cracked for a bolder taste.

Method

Preparation
  1. Add your three ingredients to a bowl.
  2. Stir until totally smooth and evenly mixed.
  3. Taste and add extra black pepper if desired.
  4. Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours.

Notes

Chilling the sauce allows the flavors to blend better, making it taste more like the restaurant version. Store in a jar or airtight container in the fridge. Best used within 5 to 7 days.
